3-3-3 OC SpeechEmotional Actions Thoughts He'd been curious about Briar's siblings, so much so he often would search them down, looking around for the two males and the healer she also brought. For now, he focused on the brothers, the direct relatives that might be of a challenge, but he doubted it, it seemed the sister of the trio had the brothers on a tight leash. He didn't expect one to walk right up to his home though, right to the base of the mountain in the center of the valley. He caught the scent of him, earth and honeysuckle, and carefully, despite it being the day, Altair shifted out of his cave and peered downwards, spotting the ignis kissed pelt, and with a woof into the air, Altair started his way down. This had to be the other brother, he looked similar to the other, and wasn't much different from Briar besides..the slight sway in his stance. Was he drunk? Or high, Altair couldn't tell until he got close enough. Hello there, RE: i'm a man, i'm a twisted fool - Aisling - 3/30/2026 ![]() SKILL : - - - ( 1 / 5 )
Worry gnawed at her the entire way to their destination.
She worried about her family, and if they were okay; the fissures along the earth had opened and she had little time to think of how to proceed and backtracking hadn't been an option. It was do or die. Still, following Calyx to his new home left her with a mixture of emotions. She was excited to explore on one hand, but on the other, the unknown was intimidating. Within Talamh, she could have sent some sort of messenger to her family or even someone to check on them, to see if there was enough clear terrain to return. But she couldn't - she lived the current moment, suspended in uncertainty. Although it was midday, the sky was dark and cold bit at her relentlessly as she followed close to Calyx, relying on him to both ford their path and for the body heat rolling off his form. His stilting steps found her side bumping his every once in awhile and she tried to bolster him; he acted like the adults had at the festivals in her mathair's homeland and during the last Beltane in the Meadows after they ate those weird mushrooms. The mushrooms Fable expressly forbade her to eat. Kind of rude. Maybe she'd get to try them this year - it seemed like everyone who ate them was happy to have done so, and she was old enough to know what they were. Plus, she'd managed to get Shiloh to admit he, Fable, Vixen, and Kieran used to ingest them all the time as teenagers - she had the perfect argument to twist her mathair's arm. A frisson of homesickness assailed her and a small frown crossed her muzzle. What were they doing right now back in the Meadows, if it had been left in one piece? Were they looking for her, did they even miss her? Silver lilac eyes lifted to look around her as she tried to push the self-pity away. The frigid mountain was beautiful in its own way, she admitted; a sort of commanding presence that spoke of something primal, raw, and untouched by time. Had she still possessed hands, she would have liked to try and paint it with dawn breaking over its fringes, drenching it in pale light across its broad planes. The thought allowed some of her concerns to melt away, the vivid image in her mind a proficient distraction. The awareness of another entity brought her fur to its ends. Gooseflesh swept across her skin and she shivered for a reason not attributed to the cold. Then, a woof drifted through the air and she went still, standing like the deer her coat so favored. With her ears rotating and her wide eyes scanning, she finally landed on Altair's figure descending toward them. Her change in carriage was instant. Her ears flattened to her skull and she ducked behind Calyx's larger frame. There's somebody here, she whispered urgently, eyes tracking his movements as she peered just past Calyx. They're comin' toward us. And then he was there, and she stiffened once more. His greeting was disarming and she teetered on the precipice between shielding herself behind her old-new friend and approaching the newcomer respectfully. Aisling finally opted for an in-between, peeking out from behind Calyx with a curious look on her face as she let Calyx take point in this social interaction.
