a dance with life - Wardruna - 7/10/2026 Life was good. It felt secure. Safe. It hadn't felt that way in how long? A year, more? From the coming of the first mass dream up until the last stand, each day was a wonder if it would be her last - all of their last. Despite being a woman who wouldn't allow herself to fear death and felt a sureness of just where she will end up when she died, it felt so good to be alive. All of them were. The little family she had created with Sreda. Her packmates. Even their one loss of life with Vitus had been a swift reunion, whether her nephew was happy to be back in the land of mortals or not. The northern queen had no worries, no fears. At least nothing like she had before with the thought of the whole world's collapse. She had only her people to think of, her growing pups, her…lover? Well certainly Wardruna thought of Sreda more than just a lover. She was her dearest friend. The door-opener to the woman's long awaited desires. Wardruna rolled around the lupine flowers most ungracefully (she was not a particularly graceful woman). Their were fucking tons of them on this hill since Sun's return! A sun which warmed her coat now even as wind whipped through the hillside. Nothing would steal her from her serenity this day. RE: a dance with life - Sreda - 7/22/2026 RE: a dance with life - Wardruna - 8/14/2026 Wardruna didn't expect to see Sreda out in the daylight. Not that she hadnt before or that Wardruna had never seen it. She would avoid it if she could and for certain Sreda (among a few of their pups likely) had rather enjoyed the constant cover of darkness they had once before. Alas, the sun needed come left all manner of floral, then fauna, die. Summers were completely chill here in Northfall anyway. None need worry of melting during the height of summer here. It made moments like this splendid, not suffering. A secret courting ritual and now that you're here, it must have worked.Wardruna grinned while her head lay flat on the ground and being upside-down, made her lips kinda fall awkwardly to show the full mass of her teeth. It was nice seeing Sreda's colors and physique in the full light of day again. You know, not that I don't miss you having two eyes - well, two working eyes…The injured one was still there, just clouded over, scar running through it. You're really starting to look like one badass viking. Her toothy smile remained as Wardruna worked over the sharp angles of Sreda’ face. Of course, surely Sreda (and Wara too) would miss her seeing the world fully, unhindered without such a huge blind-spot yet the scarring on her face… well, Sreda made it look good, thats for sure. |
