a song for the boy & girl who dream of aerodynamics - Kova - 8/15/2026 for Theristelle | before the wedding born to the desert, kova stared long at the greenery — the vines that looked like the jungle's veins, the swaying palms, wind hissing through the tiny gaps the foliage spared. the ground beneath his feet was moist, mushy, like the banks of an oasis. his little world had expanded beyond the shifting dunes. but this jungle was going to swallow him whole! everything was too beautiful. even the wolves here were woven from silk. none of it felt real. in his admiring of the palace, he had not realized he wandered from both of his mothers' sides. only when he felt one of the spilling vines brush his side did he realize he was alone. the boy whined to himself, and turned his nose to the ground to retrace his steps. RE: a song for the boy & girl who dream of aerodynamics - Theristelle - 8/16/2026 There was just so much to see. Quick to find a path away from her family, Theristelle trotted across the mushy earth, occasionally stopping to push her paws into the dirt and squeeze it through her toes. Sometimes she'd stop to sniff a leaf, or watch a bug, or lift her head up high to observe the sky; tonight, she'd search the darkness for the stars. Could she still see them here, being so far away from home? Sounds and smells and the beautiful decorations and arrangements had her attention span scattered. Bright yellow eyes, akin to a bursting star, darted from one attraction to the next, her body only barely able to keep up to her thoughts as she danced from one to the next. She was thriving, the anxieties of the previous day gone with the wind, and now all she wanted to do was experience everything she could. A savory smell caught her now, like a fish to a hookline. Snapping her head, she immediately turned her body to start towards it when a sad whine made her ears perk. Orion? No... brows knit upon her forehead as she searched for the sound, finally finding a young boy, somewhere around her age, with his nose to the ground. He appeared lost, and immediately Theristelle was empathetic - she was in the same predicament yesterday. Perhaps he needed a friend? Carefully, the young girl approached him and greeted him with a happy yip. Then, she placed a paw upon her chest, grinning as she nodded expectantly. "Theristelle," she named herself, hoping she was coming across as kind and friendly. Her paw lifted, pointing at him. "Who you?" her head tilted slightly to the side. RE: a song for the boy & girl who dream of aerodynamics - Kova - 8/28/2026 the familiar sound of nails clicking against rock called to kova, and before the girl spoke his wide eyes found her. there was a bit of a relief to be with someone his own age and size — there were many beasts taller than his mama in this strange new place. few taller than momma though, and that was its own comfort. she speaks not in naqhariin — a surprise to the boy's ears — but a different tongue. he understood enough to know she had given him her name, and understood the question, however the boy was still taken aback by this sudden test. he just had to be brave. kova,he mumbled. the girl's name was longer than any of his siblings or his mothers. for now, he would call her stelle. mama.. uhm.. mama..he sighed exasperatedly. am looking for my mama. |
