The Big-Fucking-Rock turned out to be just ever-so-slightly harder to find than Calyx had imagined. Well ... to be fair, he hadn't really imagined much of anything ... other than a grand adventure, of course! So he supposed he was right on the right track — just as anticipated.

Just as planned —
After all, you couldn't be late if you didn't have a deadline.

A wide, eerie grin spread across his dark lips, eyes fizzling in and out of focus as his pupils contracted and expanded. The darkness of the End-of-Times consumed everything, but the Big-Fucking-Rock finally revealed itself from behind a blanket of dark mist. It was impressive, he thought, golden eyes flicking upward as he eyed the way the pointed tips of granite challenged the dark sky.

He'd caught Briar 's scent some distance back, and it had subconsciously lured him forward.

Swaying steps led him forward until he steadied to a halt, talking a moment to place his purse on the ground and stretch each of his limbs with exaggerated care. A soft, pleasant hum escaped his lips as the warmth of his high spread throughout his entire body.

This, he supposed, was where Briar said they would live.

It was as big a rock as any.

Now, where, oh where, would he put his house!

Speech Emotional Actions Thoughts

He'd been curious about Briar's siblings, so much so he often would search them down, looking around for the two males and the healer she also brought. For now, he focused on the brothers, the direct relatives that might be of a challenge, but he doubted it, it seemed the sister of the trio had the brothers on a tight leash.

He didn't expect one to walk right up to his home though, right to the base of the mountain in the center of the valley. He caught the scent of him, earth and honeysuckle, and carefully, despite it being the day, Altair shifted out of his cave and peered downwards, spotting the ignis kissed pelt, and with a woof into the air, Altair started his way down.

This had to be the other brother, he looked similar to the other, and wasn't much different from Briar besides..the slight sway in his stance. Was he drunk? Or high, Altair couldn't tell until he got close enough.

How silly he was, for he'd almost forgotten about little Aisling — Pequeña Rosa. She followed him closely, seeming quite certain that he would lead them where they were destined to go. He would, of course! Afterall, they had escaped a Very-Hungry-Fissure together, so it only seemed natural that they would continue to travel as a unit.

It was for safety. 

She was a welcome warmth in the bitter cold of the dark world ... but she sure did worry a lot. Calyx rarely worried — it was one of his many gifts.

As he was planning his home renovations, she was the one paying attention. "There's somebody here." Calyx would blink, turning his eyes toward her and offering her a grin. Yes, tonta (silly)! We are here! That should have been exciting! But she was worried again, her eyes trailing past Calyx and into the dark edge of the clearing. "They're comin' toward us."

Oh she meant someone else.

She really needed to be more specific.

The roan stranger would, indeed, come toward them. Calyx would turn his body, smile unwavering as his bright golden eyes peered, glowing through the eternal dark. The greeting from the Big-Green-Eyed-Man was simple, inviting. Hello to you, too! He would sway lightly upon his paws, dark ears flicking forward.

My friend and I are looking for Briar — she told us to meet at this Big-Rock. We got a little lost on our way — almost eaten by the earth and all. He trailed off, swaying and smiling. That's how I met little Rosa, here. He would lean, shoulder pressing into Aisling.

Speech Emotional Actions Thoughts

Altair noticed the lady with Briar's brother, and carefully his head craned down to appear less threatening, but still held authority he knew he had, this was his mountain. With a brief sniff into the air, and his tail curling above his hips, he hummed softly watching the two curiously, fully stepping to be viewed, the fog no longer obscuring his figure.

Silently, he watched, observing them, watching the lady peek out from behind Calyx, her fawn like pelt a curious pattern, spotted like a little deer when still young, was she a hybrid? No..She couldn't be, but why such obscure markings? he couldn't say anything, his mother had some weird markings.

I see..Rosa, and..You i assume..are, Calyx? Briar is here safely, my dear has been very keen on bein close,

He hummed gently, tail giving a gentle wag as he leaned back to a sit.
