Eirlys, Leona — other babies welcome!

The morning sun rose, and Tiberii rose with it.

To be fair, she really wasn't getting that much sleep these days. Turns out raising seven children really left one very little time for rest. And they grew, every day, like a bundle of beautiful wildflowers beneath the summer sun (well, other than Eden, at least).

Already, their legs were long enough to take them short distances outside of the den. Already, they grew bored of the inside of the cavern walls — and to be fair, Tiberii did, too. And so, that morning, with the new day's sun hanging high overhead, the bull decided she would take some of her children on patrol with her. What better way to show them their home and teach them how to be proper members of their pack?

And of course, have a little fun, too.

Wakey, wakey, she'd coo, lifting her massive body from the pile of children. A smile trailed across her lips, those citrine eyes glowing as bright as the sun outside. Which one of ya wants ta come with me on patrol today? She would take a few steps outside of the den's mouth before turning her head back over her shoulder to glance back at the mouth, waiting to see which of her children decided they wanted to go on an adventure this morning.

As she waited, her mind turned, pondering the perfect place to take them.

She hadn’t seen much of the world yet, and that was fine. Her entire world was right here, in ma and pa and her many brothers and sisters. If they were all tumbling around inside the den or running around outside, it was all secondary to who she was with.

Since the starlet was never without them, then she was always fine.

She was especially fine now. Mama was here! Her incredible, looming presence stood above her small self, which began to wiggle with the force of her mother’s impending attention. She climbed atop her legs, which had begun to shake with the force of her excitement. What was mama going to say? She always said the best things, and had the best ideas!

A smile spread across her silver mouth at the thought of joining her on patrols. Mom was so cool, always doing jobs and things that Eirlys could only dream of! Mama! Me, mama! I do! the tiny cub cheered, her body wiggling with the anticipation and urge to participate.

She hoped mom would choose her; she really, really, really hoped so!

Her eyes would creep open, flutter a few times before squinting into the morning sun. Momma would lift herself from the bundle of siblings she intertwined herself with and listened as she questioned who wanted to go on a patrol with her today. Momma stepped towards the mouth of the den and turned her head back to see who would follow, Eirlys was the first to respond excitedly and Leona twitched her ears int thought as she pondered if she wanted to go or not.

Of course she did.

Hopping to her feet she yipped a few times excitedly and scurried herself over to Tiberii and turned herself to see if Eirlys would follow. She flipped her tail back a forth a few times as she bent her front half forward to encourage her silver sister to come along too.

Eirlys, Leona —

As the morning seconds ticked by, it did not take long for a few of her little cubs to crawl forth from the dark den, eyes wide with a wonder that brought a smile to Tiberii's face. Just seeing them brought a searing heat rushing forward from the pit of her chest. Love. It was a fearsome love that she had for every one of them, for they were all little pieces of her. Little things that she had created that she hoped she could nurture into beautiful little blossoms.

Eirlys came forth with excitement, followed close by Leona. Her star and her lioness.

Tiberii's smile grew wide, and she would lift a massive paw up to gesture her eager daughters forward. Come on then, you two, she'd chuff brightly, waving her tail like a flag behind her. For a few moments, she would wait, allowing the two of them to catch up with their tiny pawsteps. It was almost unreasonable how big Tiberii was compared to them, but she would be careful where she placed her paws and only use her large frame as protection for them against the elements.

Together, the three would walk, a mother leading her ducklings. Tiberii would take them down a well-traveled path toward the borders of their pack, keeping her ears pressed forward. Despite her gentle smile and relaxed posture, she was aware of everything around them.

So, she'd start, noting the birdsong in the background and the warmth of the sun trickling through the trees. Her bright gaze would turn toward her two daughters, half-expectant and half-curious. What do ya both think is tha most important part of a patrol?
