And Shiloh had been right about one thing — if Tiberii had been awake, she would have told him to stay.

At his final kiss, she stirred, half-wakened by the sudden urgency of his actions. His words drifted to her, a set of three potent syllables that had since been unspoken. A mind so unprepared did not yet parse what had been said; instead, it only wakened further by the sudden lapse in his presence and the cold left in his wake.

The final boss would reveal himself as the bull walked through the third door. It was absolute chaos. There were wolves everywhere. Tiberii hadn't even had the slightest clue how many of them populated Mythris until this very moment. Golden eyes widened, roaming the cacophonous battlefield as she contemplated her next move.
Her mind, half dazed by sleep, roared to life as adrenaline erupted through her core. There was a warmth that brewed from deep within, pulsing within her veins in such a way that she could feel her heartbeat deep within her ears. The air sparked to life, dripping with danger and magic ... and the bound wolf savagely snarled, screaming in defiance and yowling in damnation.
Tiberii's heart fluttered as she saw many she knew. Most, fighting to free the savage from the prison that bound him ... but some ... Phia?
An urgent sense of danger overcame the bull as her insides twisted, watching her petite sister barrel toward the wolf with a malice that equaled his own. Before long, her barreling form was lost to the chaos, buried beneath a multitude of bodies.
Tiberii would surge forward, dancing between strangers until she finally made it close; her eyes darted left and right as she searched once more for Phia. Fuck,
she muttered, flattening her ears as the chained wolf's cry echoed painfully through the cavern. It was then she saw other familiar figures — Wolf and Shiloh, working to free the bindings.
There wasn't any more time to waste.
If they freed the wolf ... perhaps ... perhaps ... it would spare them all.
It had to.
It had to.
Right?
Her throat felt tight, her body pivoting toward Shiloh as she slipped into place beside him, throwing her body weight into the burning-hot chains and trying to unanchor them from the stone floor. She would wince, eyes burning against the painful swell of emotion that devolved into anger. The bull would grunt, feeling the sear against her skin and leaning into the physical ache as a crutch against everything else she was feeling.
No one had better fucking die on her.
