A familiarity amidst a land of the unknown.
So when she slipped down south, it was out of curiosity more than any true need. She lived her life along frozen tundra and the hunting here felt no different.
It'd be curiosity once more to explain why she followed after the scent of pine. While she was gutsy, of course, Vivian didn't find herself particularly threatened by the man she caught glimpses of through the trees and dense foliage. He's the lumbering kind, that much she could tell. If she wanted, she reckoned she could loop around him twice over before he'd have a chance to lash out at her—no, she wasn't worried at all.
This was a game to her.
"You wouldn't have known I was here if I was sneakin' around, hun," she said, stepping out of the deep coverage from the trees with a flash of teeth in a sharp grin. There's enough space between them that she didn't have to look too far up to meet his gaze. "Huntin' ain't been too easy on ya' I reckon?"
