Standing high and alone in the desert is a truly rare spectacle - an enormous pyramid of unknown origins. Attempting to reach its apex is an exhausting feat, especially in a land forever baked in the sun’s harsh light, so most typically only reach its peak at nightfall. Somewhere, hidden cleverly within its four imposing walls is an opening, perhaps where someone might live… but the entrance remains a mystery and a trade secret to those who can find it.

Talk of the past was not his strong suit, preferring to forget and move on from a time that no longer existed. His place was here now, until anything or anyone else told him otherwise. Besides, Ra was quite happy here in the land of Satriya, with a purpose given to him by those that seemed to trust him most. Ra continued to listen to Aiesha's kind voice, taking interest in her story, her place of origin. Lucky for her to have lived in such a familiar feeling place.
Ah, your mother served a most beautiful and powerful goddess. I'm sure she was most devout. That is a noble calling. Thoughts went back to Sitamun, the red wolf that was the handmaiden to the Queen. She too worshipped with all her heart to her patron goddess. Something that he always found admirable about her. The sudden feeling of Aiesha brushing against him caught him off guard, bringing him back to reality in a quick mental jolt. Green eyes looked upon her apologetically, trying to shrug off the awkward interaction.
Nothing to apologize for. It is alright. I'm sorry that I was not more careful and not respecting your intimate space as much. Forgive me. Ra tried to keep his composure, hoping that she would move on from it as well. Talk of her mother, then her father, caught his attention once more. I wonder if I have met him yet. It feels like there are so many living here now. I'm sure that I have yet to meet them all. So far, you have been the kindest and most welcoming. A true breath of fresh air. He paused for a moment, looking back out to the bright horizon, the desert welcoming him as one of its own.
Not that I speak ill of the others of Satriya, but there is indeed something different about you. Forgive my forwardness, just something that I felt from you from the beginning of our meeting. I tell no lies, miss Aiesha. Another kind smile to accompany the friendly gesture, hoping that she would accept his words as truth, and not to spew it back at him with something akin to negativity. For that would surely be unfitting for him in the long run.
