It wasn't a national secret why the girl was running, but she felt as if it were, looking back to the distant mountains of the Respite — her home, which hadn't felt like home lately, without her family there. Without Amaris, she felt lost. And somewhat bad, for leaving their home mostly unattended. Sure, those still lurked, but she didn't like the thought of being away for too long. She'd done that enough over the last year.
No, no... Not super personal, it's just, her lunar eyes would shift back to him, finding no malice in Lykaon's gaze, she didn't have to hide the truth from him,
My family has gone missing — or rather, they're not missing, I know they're around here somewhere, I can feel it.She could feel her moonshadowed twin near... Just... Where at?
Two squirrels were placed in front of her, with others nearby. Her stomach audibly growled, and she swallowed again to keep back the saliva that threatened to drip out of the corners of her maw.
You're very kind. She'd manage not to dribble, and gave a rather excited nod to him, telling her he was going to go,
Be safe!
And just when he was out of sight, the Daystar went to town, devouring the squirrels in front of her with ease. Chomping loudly, she'd wonder how long it'd been since she actually had a meal and not just sparingly berry-picking and rabbit snatching. In the distance, she knew Lykaon searched for her. She was unsure if it was the thought flooding back to her mind after finally sourcing something to eat or a genuine feeling of warmth when she thought of him searching for something else to help care for her. Damn, she really needed to pay him back.
Just as Aelia reached for another squirrel, finding enough strength to scoot over to the laid out prey, she saw his ardent glow, now ebbing a light green that made him seem as if he was a part of the earth itself. Earthy browns and vibrant green surrounded him, and it made the woman smile; she'd rarely seen two colors twist in one aura.
A laugh would spill from her lips, at the way his voice sounded garbled as he spoke with the stick in his mouth,
Don't you know you aren't supposed to talk with your mouth full?Even as exhausted as she was, she couldn't help but feel perky around him. Aelia reached to grab the other end of the stick, getting rather close; their heads almost briefly touched, her eyes catching on his, before slowly pulling back, hoping he'd let the stick go so she could apply it to her paws. She wouldn't ask the male to do that for her, and she knew basic medical skills from Auntie Harper and Fiora.
