There was silence, barely even the breath of wind trickling through the branches and over her trembling body. She dared not open her eyes.. she could still feel those feathered beasts staring down at her, as if eager for a better reaction or perhaps something more she had yet to understand, however her body would soon jolt to a sound that was not from a bird.. A voice, but from a stranger?

Immediately her lids lifted and almost instantly did they begin to strain to see just who it was speaking to her.. He was quite tall, much taller than her at least, with pointed features and two brightly fuzzed yellow orbs she could only assume were his eyes.

The clarity of her vision evaded her though from what she could make out was enough to hint that he hopefully wouldn’t eat her.

The stranger asked her a question.. and for a beat, perhaps two she simply stared at him. Had she awoken from death? A part of her felt so unsure, as if the answer was slipping away before she could reach it, and yet regardless of that, the ever heavy pit in her stomach, along with the click-clacking behind her mind told her otherwise..

"No I can.. I’m just.." Her gaze shifted upwards, the crows being just as unmoving as she before panning back to the unfocused being ahead of her. "What do you mean awoken from death..? Is that.. is that a normal thing here?" She started softly whilst another inquiry made its way from her thoughts and into words. "And.. And where exactly is here?" The girl asked as if the answer would help her in any way, it likely wouldn’t.. she couldn’t quite remember where ‘before’ was either.
