Euphemia had a very important task. At long last, it was time to perform her duties as Maid of Honor and support her beloved, spotted sister Dalmatia as she married her long-time love, Nottin.

The wedding was impending, and Euphemia needed to ensure that the Northfall knew of their invitation to view the nuptials and celebration.

After all, hadn’t Dawnbreak and Northfall been allies all those years ago, before Dawnbreak was Dawnbreak and before Euphemia was Euphemia? She had never mapped the way entirely, had never set her eyes on those peaks!

How strange, for a woman who had made it to the farthest north the continent would go, but not the farthest west. It felt so familiar, but in reality, was so foreign.

Therefore, Euphemia took her task very seriously. After all, things had fallen into a lovely type of boredom after the chained wolf found his freedom. Euphemia wanted to indulge in an exceedingly safe type of adventure, and this certainly fit the task.

It was also incredibly fortunate that, on the other side of the end of the world, Euphemia knew love. Therefore, she could celebrate another' s love with more sincerity! Where she once might have seemed jealous of her perfect Dalmatia and her love that seemed so effortless, she now was incredibly excited to show off her big, burly boyfriend to everyone who could see.

In fact, that burly man followed her now, on their sojourn to the westerly mountains.

She didn’t run that far ahead of him, but she did patted some paces beyond him on the path. It all felt so light-hearted, to be together, outside of the eyes of Dawnbreak. Those who expected so much from her – or worse, still looked at her with pity over Ric’s death.

There was nothing but themselves, the road, and their stories to enjoy.

When, at long last, the foretold spires found themselves twisting upwards in front of the pair – the only thing that kept Euphemia from gaping was the fact that she had grown up surrounded by the only mountains that could compare.

Ready? the maiden whispered to her cohort, waiting to see if he would loose the howl that drew forth a representative from the pack. She did so love to hear him sing.
