It would seem Calyx need not be worried, for his anxious hesitation was soon overruled. A tail wag, rapid and informative, told the dog everything he needed to hear. This man had waited for him. For ... him.

And Calyx, so broken and abused ... so unwanted ...
... would melt.

And Lindito, once unnamed, once wolf-goo.
Once someone else's.
Now ... was for Calyx.

Oh! His insides would squirm. And Calyx, so wanting, would shimmy closer to his keeper. He was slow in his approach, perhaps hesitant, and yet ... all he could do was trust. Trust not only what was in front of him, but perhaps what unraveled in his mind as well.

Lindito was his, and his was Lindito!

Te extrañé A silent whisper, his gaze peering upward as if to believe that Lindito would dissipate. It was entirely possible, of course, for nothing was promised. Nothing was ever promised. But somehow, Calyx was slowly believing the opposite.

The man would smile, taking a leap and lifting his nose into a broad chin.
