Ruìlóng had toddled off at some point, slipping between the large legs of adults as his eyes—still in the throes of changing to their permanent color—caught sight of two dark silhouettes. They looked the same to him, and for a moment, the Dragon would wonder if his eyes were playing tricks on him.

But when the other seemed to scream out words, knocking a leg into the chest of the other one, Ruìlóng realized that, like his own siblings, they might’ve been twins!

On wobbly legs, he approached the pair with a curious smile lathered across his lips.

Hello! He screamed out, first in his natal, foreign tongue. Ruìlóng had yet to fully realize that most of the wolves who attended his father’s event did not speak the Mother Tongue.

You! He cried out again, Who!

He had yet to realize what they were up to, but the little prince did notice they were scooting away from him!

HELLO??? That just wouldn't do.
