The nights of quiet seemed rarer and rarer these days, as the pups of all ages occasionally sounded off in the middle of the night and their respective parent would eventually guide them back to sleep after. There were now so many little pups, not only the ones that Afi often visited, but it meant for more playmates for the Shakti-Vaes et al. It felt like Dawnbreak - no, all of Mythris seemed to be rejoicing their survival as many often did. Life flourished, and Vidarr was just relieved that they had all survived. He had missed the stars themselves, missed the stories held within them, he'd missed just losing himself into the night sky like he had with Svajone a number of times.
And thankfully, he also was able to share nights beneath them both with Reid tucked between them now, and the weather had held for quite a while, so they had good views. Sometimes they played tag beneath them until his shoulder ached, and sometimes they just spent time beneath the stars talking about life. Tonight though, began as so many of their nights did - as his boy charged right into him, and it was not this lanky tall man who was aiming towards him. He saw his hulinn skuggi still small, the stars shining in his eager eyes as they made contact, and Vidarr played his part as expected.

When Reid connected with him Vidarr this time didn't need to pretend to let out a big 'ooph!'. He let out a boisterous laugh, a leg wrapping around Reid's shoulders and pulled him into rolling over with him.
I've been caught! He was still laughing, but his eyes shone with an undeniable pride.
Miskunn, mikli veiðimaður!He said from beneath the boy's weight.
