There was just so much to see. Quick to find a path away from her family, Theristelle trotted across the mushy earth, occasionally stopping to push her paws into the dirt and squeeze it through her toes. Sometimes she'd stop to sniff a leaf, or watch a bug, or lift her head up high to observe the sky; tonight, she'd search the darkness for the stars. Could she still see them here, being so far away from home?

Sounds and smells and the beautiful decorations and arrangements had her attention span scattered. Bright yellow eyes, akin to a bursting star, darted from one attraction to the next, her body only barely able to keep up to her thoughts as she danced from one to the next. She was thriving, the anxieties of the previous day gone with the wind, and now all she wanted to do was experience everything she could.

A savory smell caught her now, like a fish to a hookline. Snapping her head, she immediately turned her body to start towards it when a sad whine made her ears perk. Orion? No... brows knit upon her forehead as she searched for the sound, finally finding a young boy, somewhere around her age, with his nose to the ground. He appeared lost, and immediately Theristelle was empathetic - she was in the same predicament yesterday. Perhaps he needed a friend?

Carefully, the young girl approached him and greeted him with a happy yip. Then, she placed a paw upon her chest, grinning as she nodded expectantly. "Theristelle," she named herself, hoping she was coming across as kind and friendly. Her paw lifted, pointing at him. "Who you?" her head tilted slightly to the side.

Her eyes softened, recognizing the shimmer of fear as his wide eyes met hers. Surely, his heart hammered in his chest. Theristelle knew that feeling - not intimately, blessed is she in that the Star Mother gifted her with loving parents - but she’d tasted it on her tongue before.

Seeing it now within this boy, that awful taste came creeping up the back of her throat. Swallowing, the young girl decided right then that she would be helping him find his mother before she would search for herself.

Drawing up her best abilities of a friendly smile, Theristelle waddled towards him and nodded her head, signalling her understanding. “We find, okay? I help. To… together, yes,” another nodded, as if affirming her own words. Silently, her tail began to wag. It felt good to try and help someone, she thought warmly. It never crossed her mind that someone could refuse her help, so she turned her body as if to start off, but looked back encouragingly.

Much to her delight, the boy accepted her help. A task! Kova stepped alongside her, describing his... mothers?... quite well, considering their language barrier. Theristelle recognized the word "big" twice when he spoke of both of them, which was surprising in a way considering she was taller than him, even if only by a hair.

"Hmmm," the young girl mused for a moment before slowing to match his pace, "Muna name... know?" Velarian slipped on her tongue. It was an idea, albeit not a great one considering she didn't know her own parents names. But worth a shot. While she waited for his answer, she looked around for wolves with big ears. Until another thought crossed her mind - why did they have big ears in the first place? She glanced at him. His weren't any bigger than hers... It probably didn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but she couldn't help when her brain jumped from one topic or question to the next, often without her being able to finish the first thought.
