Much alike Ranyin, Tai has also noticed the lack of attention from their mother. The den that is supposed to be safe, loving is just a place for the young wolf to rest. To grow. It is not a place of love.
Tai sniffs as they spot their sibling moving to the mouth of the den - and looks back toward their mother. Tai's own face turns to her, and then back to Ranyin. Instead of waiting, they stand and move slowly to their sister.
The den's mouth does not stop the pup from leaving it. Tai's mother hadn't said anything yet. The world outside is new, full of light Tai has never experienced before. Very different from the stifling air inside their birthing den. Their tongue swipes over their nose as they experience new smells for the first time.
So strange.
